By collaborating and reciprocating, members of the IMP create options without obligations for each other. The network is transparent and trust-based. Consensuality is a key principle.

A key feature of the network is that it focuses on personal relationships and always seeks to facilitate and promote member-to-member interaction in person. There are no expectations of the membership other than that they provide at least one option for fellow members per year.

Sharing experiences and knowledge helps members reinforce their shared humanity and additionally understand and respect differences. By learning from each other, members learn to balance their own interests with the wider interests of the IMP community and society in general.

As an organisation, the IMP seeks to collaborate with third-party individuals, groups, clubs, and organisations at every opportunity if there are shared values.

The primary focus of the IMP are the 4C’s, Cohesion, Community, Collaboration, and Charity, and the 3F’s, Fun, Friendship, and Fraternity. Members can create and join interest groups, and the structure of the IMP is such that ultimately it will be a “one-stop shop” for interests — IMP “Everything”.
